The Synod’s collegial governance, consonant with the conciliar tradition exemplified in Acts 15, vests authority in a convocation of over 3,500 ordained bishops, augmented by archiepiscopal oversight and a presbyteral cadre exceeding several thousand. This polyarchic structure ensures doctrinal rectitude and pastoral solicitude, wherein each prelate, as successor to the apostolic episkopoi, stewards the flock of God (1 Peter 5:2) across our 20,000 affiliated assemblies.
The Archbishops’ Council consists of Senior Archbishops chosen from among the global body of Archbishops to coordinate, promote, aid and further the work and mission of the Synod. It does this by providing support to the Churches and dioceses globally. The Judicial Council is the highest court of the Synod.
Members of the Archbishops’ Council are appointed by the Patriarch in accordance with the constitutional mandates of the Synod. Each member possesses a minimum of twenty years of global ecclesiastical experience and advanced theological qualifications (M.Th. or higher), serving as international ‘wisdom-keepers’ and guardians of doctrinal orthodoxy.
The Archbishops’ Council operates as the macro-level advisory and strategic vanguard of the Synod. Its primary aims are:
- Fostering Apostolic and Intergenerational Unity: Cultivating a diverse, global body that reflects the universal nature of the Church, while empowering Diocesan Bishops with the strategic oversight needed to spiritually revitalize their local parishes.
- Advancing Global Expansion: Directing the Synod’s international outreach by strategically establishing new Churches and Dioceses rooted in the Full Gospel paradigm and historical apostolic continuity.
- Cultivating Holistic Formation: Equipping dioceses to transform local congregations into dynamic hubs for ongoing spiritual and intellectual growth, specifically fostering pastoral competence, moral character, unwavering covenantal commitment, and a renewed, Christ-centered consciousness among both clergy and laity.
- Ensuring Ecclesiastical Safeguarding and Dignity: Upholding the inherent, God-given dignity of all individuals by enforcing rigorous, canonical safeguarding protocols to ensure the Church remains a strictly protected sanctuary for all, especially children and vulnerable adults.
- Elevating Theological and Academic Excellence: Providing scholarly governance and macro-level guidance to member dioceses to establish high-quality, rigorous academic programs that maintain doctrinal orthodoxy and intellectual depth.

Judicial Council
Judicial Council serves as the highest appellate court for the Synod, responsible for adjudicating doctrinal disputes, canonical violations, and matters of ecclesiastical discipline across the global network of 20,000 affiliated assemblies.
The Judicial Council comprises both canonical legal experts and international diplomats to ensure both ecclesiastical integrity and global legal compliance.
